The future is BLUE!

Its always nice to have an incident free day at the schooling track and the day just gets better when the pups being schooled all pass their first test with flying colours.
Blue Amarillo’s second litter, this time by Droopys Maldini took a trip to Joe Hurley’s schooling track today. All seven pups had their first handslip and chased as hard as they could with all showing that elusive quality....’PACE!”
We will take it steady with these youngsters, but the future is bright, the future is Blue!

Whats New?

The weather is starting to change for the better here in County Tyrone, leaves on trees and lengthening days mean that summer is around the corner.
The litter of Droopys Kewell x Laguna pups are absolutely thriving (all 10 of them), and enjoying their freedom in the large paddocks.

Unfortunately Mineola Di only had a small litter to Westmead Hawk, two bitches to be precise and they are absolutely stunning and I could’nt be more happy with them. Full details can be found on the For Sale page

Next up onto the breeding rostrum is Blue Amarillo, it will be her third mating. Her first litter to Boherduff Light have been schooled and are now in England, I have received word from the owner that one of them has had his first sprint trial at Coventry and clocked 17.54 which augers extremely well for his eminent racing career. More news on the others when I receive it.

I advertised some of the next litter by Droopys Maldini on my site and two out of the four available were snapped up and have already gone to Nottingham, best of luck to the new connections.

Oh, I have decided to book Blue Amarillo into Westmead Joe for the next litter, a stunning specimen of a greyhound that Nick Savva described as potentially better than Westmead Hawk. Joe has made a real good start to his stud career and is throwing a lot of early pace into his offspring....can’t wait.

Blue Amarillo saplings for sale

I have just updated the For Sale page and advertised 2 dogs and 2 bitches from Droopys Maldini out of Blue Amarillo. These are May 08’ saplings that are simply stunning. Very outgoing and athletic greyhounds that I am certain will be a bargain for any would be owners out there. The first litter by Boherduff Light are schooling very well with no problems whatsoever. Blue Amarillo is a full sister to Handy Princess and Line of Fire and her family is littered with top class racers.

Exciting Night On Sky

What a night of racing from Wimbledon Juvenile night on Sky on Tuesday. Fear Zafonic looked the business even for allowing a slight inside going bias.
However the highlight for me which i will go into further shortly, was Ninja Jamie’s demolition of a great bunch of dogs in The Emily Wood Memorial.
The big danger and even money favourite was College Causeway, a dog with monstrous pace and one of the fastest in recent years. The Ninja however was in no mood for niceties and burst from the traps to lead all the way without another dog getting in a blow at him.

The great news for Drumscraw Kennels is that we have Ninja Jamie’s (and Farloe Reason’s for that matter) full litter sister currently in pup to the great Westmead Hawk.
I feel demand for these pups will be huge and I advise anyone who is seriously considering buying one to ring me straight away as I know there will be quite a few disappointed people who miss out
We have a video of the Ninja Jamie race on Mineola Di’s brood page for anyone that missed the race on Sky.
